Developing a Research Agenda for Citizenship Education
Workshop Series 2008-2009

In the interest of developing a research agenda which brings together teams of colleagues with similar interests to formulate proposals for external funding, in 2008-2009, the Citizenship Education KRA will conduct a series of workshops along the following themes: 

1. What do we know about citizenship education in Hong Kong and mainland China?
2. What do we not know about citizenship education in Hong Kong and mainland China? 
3. What sources of data are available or can be generated to further research on citizenship education in Hong Kong and mainland China?
4. What methods of research have been used and are potentially useful for conducting research on citizenship education in Hong Kong and mainland China?
5. Using the IEA Civic Education Study database to conduct secondary analysis on citizenship education
6. Turning teaching about citizenship education into research
