The Logo

The Logo of the Hong Kong Institute of Education is a visual representation of ‘IE’ with an orange gold sun topping the green leaves which signify the five constituent Colleges – the Grantham College of Education, the Hong Kong Technical Teachers’ College, the Institute of Language in Education, the Northcote College of Education and the Sir Robert Black College of Education.

The green leaves symbolise youthful aspiration, growth, energy and wholesomeness. The sun is symbolic of high goals and standards, life-force, blossoming achievement, esprit de corps and success.
